The GigAt District Taco the heartbeat of our restaurant comes from our Team Members and its starts with our Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) Team Members. The ideal Team Member will be capable of managing uncertainty, willing to push the limits, and takes ownership in their surroundings. We will provide the training and development you will need to feel confident in your position and ready to serve our guests safely every day. We welcome all skill levels in the food service industry from dishwashers, prep cooks, cooks or no experience at all, we are always looking for passionate and enthusiastic people to join us. If you’re interested in kick starting your career in Food Service and getting a closer look of how our company approaches high quality food, customer service, and other food service responsibilities, we’d like to meet you.Core ResponsibilitiesProviding support to your fellow Team MembersFollowing District Taco’s safe food handling practices at during all stagesFollowing recipes and inspecting ingredients before use to ensure qualityQuality Control: alerting management of food that does not meet safety and quality standards Preparing and pre-portioning various food items as neededUsing of all kitchen equipment safelyUnderstanding dietary restrictions and the procedures to follow to avoid cross-contaminationFollowing portioning guidelines when preparing ordersOrganizing storage areas and unpacking shipments to maintain proper rotationThe washing of equipment and small-wares items QualificationsProficient in reading, writing, speaking and understanding EnglishStrong interpersonal/people skillsHigh level of motivation and sense of self-responsibilityAbility to apply and maintain standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and personal hygieneAbility to demonstrate outstanding customer service skills on an ongoing basisBe physically active for long periods without getting tired or out of breathStand and/or walk for 8 consecutive hoursUse stomach and lower back muscles to support the bodyCoordinate movement of several parts of the body, such as arms and legs, while the body is movingHold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the armLift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects for long periods without getting tiredLift 50lbs or more on a regular basisWork efficiently in a variety of hot or cold environments (e.g. refrigerated areas, close to cookingequipment, etc.)Work as quickly as certain tasks demand
