If you seek a fulfilling opportunity to utilize your expertise to uplift others and engage in a caring community, this position is perfect for you.Job SummaryThis role involves evaluating and treating patients who may have physical, emotional, cognitive, or psychosocial challenges.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate patients' capabilities to safely and effectively carry out independent living tasks.Develop a tailored care plan, specifying the type and frequency of treatments.Execute the treatment plan using suitable modalities and document patient progress.Adjust the care plan as necessary and seek consultations when required.Educate patients and their families or caregivers about identified deficits.Assist with patient discharge from therapy services and provide guidance on the selection and use of adaptive equipment and support programs.Supervise care provided by designated individuals in accordance with established regulations and standards.Maintain a constant state of alertness and safety.Perform additional duties as assigned.QualificationsEducation: A Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field necessary for licensure in the state of practice.Experience: No prior experience is required.Physical RequirementsConstantly standing.Frequent lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling objects weighing up to 25 lbs.Regular use of hearing and speech for effective oral communication.Frequent auditory skills to recognize body sounds and alarms.Regular visual acuity for both near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances.Frequent walking, reaching, gripping, and data entry.Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, sitting, squatting, twisting, and repetitive movements of the legs and arms.Occasional lifting and moving of patients and objects weighing between 25-50 lbs.Occasional driving and rare crawling.Licensure and CertificationsResuscitation Certification: Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification is required within 90 days of employment.
