About The JobQwikkit is a fast-growing cabinet refacing manufacturer based in Houston, Texas, supporting multifamily and commercial customers across the U.S. We operate in a highly customized, make-to-order environment where reliable material flow, organization, and accuracy are essential to keeping production running smoothly.Our Supply Chain team is growing, and we’re looking for a Material Handler to join our team at our Langfield facility. This role supports daily supply chain and manufacturing operations by handling materials, replenishing materials, assisting with receiving/inspection duties, and ensuring materials are staged, organized, and ready for production.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in staying organized, and understands how material availability impacts a production floor. Position Goals Ensure Accurate and Efficient Material Movement: Maintain timely and correct handling of materials throughout the facility to support production needs and minimize delays. Support Supply Chain Operations: Collaborate closely with supply chain team members, proactively addressing material shortages, and communicating issues to prevent disruptions. Assist with Receiving and Inspection Duties: Provide support and serve as backup in the receiving process, including performing incoming inspections, verifying the quality and quantity of deliveries, and helping organize materials upon arrival. Replenish Picking Racks, Bins, and Production Inventory: Ensure that picking racks and bins are regularly refilled and that current production inventory is maintained, avoiding any disruption to the manufacturing workflow. Maintain Organization of Storage Areas: Organize and label materials in designated storage areas to maximize accessibility, ensure inventory accuracy, and comply with safety standards. Assist with Inventory Management: Participate in cycle counts and inventory audits, updating records as required to ensure accurate tracking of materials and supplies. Promote Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and company procedures when handling materials and equipment, reporting hazards or incidents promptly. Continuous Improvement: Identify and suggest process improvements for material handling and supply chain operations to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Essential Job FunctionsAccurately and efficiently move materials within the facility, ensuring proper handling and timely delivery to production lines. Collaborate with supply chain team members to resolve material shortages and communicate any issues that could disrupt manufacturing operations. Support receiving duties by inspecting incoming shipments, verifying quality and quantity, and organizing materials upon arrival. Replenish picking racks, bins, and production inventory to maintain uninterrupted workflow and prevent stockouts. Organize and label materials in designated storage areas to maximize accessibility and maintain accurate inventory records, following safety guidelines. Support cycle counts and inventory audits, updating records and ensuring reliable tracking of materials and supplies. Adhere to safety protocols and company procedures when handling materials and equipment, promptly reporting hazards or incidents. Identify and recommend process improvements in material handling and supply chain operations to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts, as trained Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas, including receiving and storage locations Accurately complete required documentation or system entries related to materials and receiving Work collaboratively with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and other teams to meet operational needs Required Qualifications 0–3 years of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling environment, or equivalent hands-on experience Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials in a manufacturing setting Basic math skills and attention to detail Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Willingness to learn material handling, receiving, and inventory processes Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to work effectively in a team environment Commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods during the workday Ability to safely perform material handling tasks in a manufacturing environment Must be able to speak and understand English to effectively communicate with team members and follow instructions.Qualifications Desired But Not RequiredPrior experience with receiving, inventory support, or warehouse organization Forklift or pallet jack experience or certification (training available) Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment Familiarity with basic inventory systems or barcode scanning Comfort working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment Interest in learning supply chain or manufacturing operations Bilingual is a plus
