This role offers the opportunity to be part of a hands-on team with the backing of a global organization, helping to build and scale our U.S. pipeline.This role is based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Remote arrangements may be considered depending on the candidate's location, particularly if aligned with active or target development areas. Given the collaborative nature of the U.S. team, candidates should be open to transitioning to the Charlotte area over time.Your mission will be:Lead development of distributed generation (DG) solar and solar + storage projects from site control through permitting and interconnectionSupport and refine market-specific development strategies across target states, including Massachusetts, Illinois, Wisconsin, New York, and MarylandManage interconnection processes, including pre-applications, application submissions, and coordination with utilities and engineersDevelop and execute permitting strategies, including zoning analysis, AHJ engagement, and consultant coordinationWork closely with land acquisition teams to evaluate site viability and support lease structuringCoordinate with engineering teams and third-party consultants to advance project design and technical deliverablesTrack and manage project timelines, ensuring alignment across interconnection, permitting, and development milestonesIdentify and mitigate key project risks related to interconnection, permitting, and site constraintsSupport evaluation of offtake structures, incentive programs, and evolving market conditionsContribute to portfolio-level strategy, including pipeline prioritization and development sequencingYou are the perfect fit if you meet these requirements:2–4 years of experience in solar project development, renewable energy, or a related fieldStrong understanding of distributed generation (DG) markets and development processesFamiliarity with interconnection processes and utility requirements (experience in MISO, PJM, or ISO-NE preferred)Experience working on projects involving solar and/or solar + storage systemsFamiliarity with key DG markets such as MA (SMART), IL (Shines), NY (VDER), WI, or MD preferredUnderstanding of permitting processes, zoning considerations, and local regulatory frameworksStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholdersExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsExperience or familiarity with agrivoltaics is a plusWhat we offer:Benefits:Opportunities for professional development, training, and career advancement.Health, dental, and vision insurance.Retirement savings plan with company match.We look forward to receiving your application!
