Office Coordinator Join the Davis Center Operations & Events team at UVM! We're hiring an Office Coordinator to provide office, operational, event, and technology support for Davis Center Operations & Events, the Department of Student Life, and supervise our team of Office Assistants. The Office Coordinator serves as the primary front-line ambassador for Davis Center operations at the University of Vermont. This role is essential in providing administrative, operational, and technical support to both the Davis Center Operations & Events team and the Department of Student Life. Key Responsibilities Front-Line Operations: Act as the first point of contact for departmental inquiries by managing communications in-person, over the phone, and electronically with a focus on excellent customer service. Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of student Office Assistants. Together, you will manage office reception and oversee Davis Center marketing and promotional opportunities. Event & Technical Support: Partner with the Operations & Events staff to ensure the seamless execution of event planning and production. Administrative Management: Support the Associate Director with calendar management and leverage the available productivity software to maintain efficient office workflows. Departmental Collaboration: Serve as a critical back-up for Davis Center Operations & Events Supervisors and actively contribute to the strategic goals of the Division of Student Affairs and the University of Vermont. Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) - Associate's degree with one to three years of related experience, a working knowledge of commercial software applications commonly used to support office functions, and familiarity with internet resources and technology support required. Demonstrated experience providing excellent customer service. Demonstrated skill and experience with attention to detail, process improvement and communication are a must. Demonstrated commitment to intercultural excellence. Desirable Qualifications - Experience working in a customer service focused environment with hospitality or conference/event experience desired. Familiarity with space/event reservation scheduling software desired.
