Assembly Equipment Planning Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Assembly Equipment Planning Engineer to support the installation, commissioning, and launch of assembly equipment for a major automotive manufacturing project. This role will work closely with the project management and plant engineering teams to ensure successful execution of equipment installation while maintaining project timelines, quality standards, and operational readiness.Key Responsibilities:Support construction, installation, and commissioning activities for assembly equipmentCoordinate with contractors, engineering teams, and plant stakeholders to ensure smooth project executionProvide technical oversight for mechanical, electrical, controls, and automation integrationConduct installation verification, functional testing, troubleshooting, and process validationEnsure compliance with engineering, safety, and plant standardsSupport FAT/SAT activities, punch list resolution, documentation, and operator trainingTrack project milestones, deliverables, and installation readinessQualifications:Strong experience in assembly plant engineering, equipment installation, and conveyor systemsProven project management and coordination experience in automotive manufacturing environmentsKnowledge of PLCs, automation systems, controls integration, and plant engineering processesExperience with MS Office, MS Teams, Jira, and ConfluenceAbility to work onsite daily, including occasional weekend support as needed
