Financial Controller Location: Near Amsterdam, NY (Onsite) Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000 Employment Type: Full-Time Position Overview Our growing manufacturing client is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead its accounting and financial operations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, and providing strategic financial insight to support operational performance and profitability. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong manufacturing finance experience, particularly in cost accounting and inventory management, who can partner effectively with operations and executive leadership. Key Responsibilities Financial Management & ReportingOversee the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAPDeliver financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-makingPresent financial results and insights to leadership Cost Accounting & Manufacturing FinanceManage cost accounting processes, including variance analysisMonitor production costs and identify opportunities for efficiency improvementsOversee inventory valuation and ensure accurate reporting Budgeting & ForecastingLead the development of annual budgets and financial forecastsAnalyze actual performance against budget and recommend corrective actions Internal Controls & ComplianceEstablish and maintain strong internal controls and accounting proceduresCoordinate internal and external auditsEnsure compliance with regulatory and financial reporting requirements Leadership & CollaborationSupervise and develop accounting staffPartner with operations to support business initiatives and cost managementMaintain relationships with banking partners, auditors, and external advisorsFoster a collaborative and team-oriented environment Cash Flow & Financial OversightMonitor cash flow, liquidity, and capital expendituresProvide insight into financial planning and resource allocation Job Requirements QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required (MBA preferred)Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting/finance experienceManufacturing industry experience requiredCPA or CMA certification preferred Skills & ExpertiseStrong background in cost accounting and manufacturing financeAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelExperience with QuickBooks or similar accounting systems requiredExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilitiesStrong communication and leadership skills To see a full listing of all our open positions, please visit: https://www.redshiftrecruiting.com/jobs-hiring-near-me redShift Recruiting is the region's premier recruiting agency with over 100 years of combined experience in the recruiting field.
