Job Summary JOB DESCRIPTION Will be responsible for supporting Actuarial Leadership.Essential FunctionsThe essential functions listed represent the major duties of this role, additional duties may be assignedManaging Actuaries typically manage one or more direct reports and are responsible for their team’s work, reviews, and development, as well as being responsible for producing their own workManaging Actuaries participate in the Actuarial Rotation program which provides the opportunity to rotate to a different team every 3-4 years. Rotations can be internal (core Actuarial, such as Commercial/Medicare pricing and reserves) or external (non-Actuarial teams with Actuarial-related work, such as Segment, Value-Based Provider Analytics, Financial Performance and Analysis, Pharmacy Analytics, etc.)Support pricing, trend analytics, gross margin reporting, and financial reporting related to ACA, Medicare, Group, Reserves, Segment, and other teamsActuarial representation on cross-functional workgroups as an active participantOpen to remote or in-person candidatesRequired Experience4+ years related, successful, progressive professional work experienceMath/Statistics or related Bachelor's degree requiredCurrent and active Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA)Background in health insurance fieldStrong communicationProficient in Excel, SAS, and SQLPreferred QualificationsFellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA)Health pricing and/or reserving experienceSAS and/or SQL expertiseExperience independently managing projects and/or peopleGeneral Physical DemandsSedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects.
