Position OverviewTheSafety Clerkat LSG Sky Chefs plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the ramp area in the facility. This position is responsible for monitoring and enforcing safety protocols, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations, and maintaining a safe work environment for all personnel involved in the handling and transportation of food, beverages, and other catering supplies. The Safety Clerk will also track safety incidents, assist with training programs, and support the development of best practices to prevent accidents and improve operational efficiency. The ultimate goal is to uphold a high standard of safety, reduce operational risks, and contribute to the seamless execution of catering services in a dynamic airport environment.Work locationSky Chefs International AirportWork scheduleUsual shift will be

Free Parking & Daily MealsWhat You'll Do• Responsible for SOP training for all new drivers and re-training of drivers
• Responsible for updating and maintaining all driver files
• Processing of all Port Authority/Customs identifications
• Ensure all State inspections, registrations and Insurance ID's for trucks are current
• Responsible for ensuring all drivers adhere to A-1 Inspection procedures
• Assist the Ramp Safety Supervisor as needed and perform other clerical duties as assignedWhat We Look for in a CandidateHigh School Diploma or equivalent
1+ years of safety experience preferred; AOA ramp experience may be substituted year for year for safety experience
Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to obtain Airport SIDA badge and CBP Customs Seal within 30 days of hire
Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Must be detailed oriented and able to work with minimum supervision
Strong analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and other computer applications
Open availability, ability to work nights, weekends, holidays as business needs dictate
