Per Diem Cook

Alliance Health at Baldwinville - Alliance Health at Baldwinville is a 93 bed LTC/Skilled Nursing Facility. We are seeking a dependable and experienced Per Diem Cook to join our Dietary Services team. This position is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals in accordance with physician-ordered therapeutic diets, resident preferences, and federal/state long-term care regulations.The ideal candidate understands the importance of food quality, safety, and resident satisfaction in a healthcare environment.Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus and standardized recipesFollow physician-ordered therapeutic diets (mechanical soft, puree, diabetic, low sodium, etc.)Ensure compliance with CMS, state, and facility food safety regulationsMaintain proper food temperatures and complete required logs/documentationAdhere to infection control and sanitation standardsAssist with meal service and tray accuracy for residentsMaintain a clean, organized kitchen environmentCommunicate effectively with dietary manager and nursing staffQualifications:Prior cooking experience required; long-term care or healthcare experience preferredKnowledge of therapeutic diets strongly preferredServSafe certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)Ability to work independently and efficientlyFlexible availability, including weekends and holidays
