With a future-oriented strategy and a goal of scaling to 500+ trucks, we are continuously building a best-in-class team across all divisions.Position SummaryThe HR Manager (SCM Operations) is responsible for providing dedicated, on-site human resources support to employees and drivers assigned to the SCM Operations team.This role serves as the primary HR point of contact for employee relations, ensuring compliance with company policies, labor laws, and operational standards, while supporting workforce stability and engagement within the SCM operation.While recruitment and payroll coordination are included, the core focus of this role is employee relations, including issue resolution, disciplinary processes, attendance and performance management, and day-to-day HR guidance for both drivers and non-driver staff.Key ResponsibilitiesEmployee Relations (Primary Responsibility)Serve as the primary HR contact for SCM-assigned drivers and employeesManage employee relations matters, including:Attendance and punctuality issuesPerformance management and corrective actionsWorkplace conduct, policy violations, and investigationsConflict resolution between employees, supervisors, and operations managementEnsure consistent and fair application of company policies and proceduresProvide guidance to SCM managers on disciplinary actions, documentation, and escalationHR Support for Drivers & Operations StaffSupport HR lifecycle processes for SCM personnel, including onboarding, transfers, leaves, and offboardingAct as liaison between HR, Operations, Safety, and Payroll teamsAddress driver-specific HR issues in coordination with Safety and Operations (non-safety determinations)Recruitment & Staffing CoordinationSupport recruiting activities for SCM Operations roles, including drivers and support staffCoordinate interviews, pre-employment requirements, and onboarding logisticsPartner with recruiting vendors or staffing agencies as neededMonitor staffing levels and proactively flag workforce risks to HR and Operations leadershipPayroll & Timekeeping SupportSupport accurate timekeeping and payroll processing for SCM employees and driversReview timesheets for compliance with company policies prior to payroll submissionAddress payroll-related employee inquiries and coordinate corrections with Payroll teamPolicy Implementation & ComplianceEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including FLSA and applicable DOT-related employment requirementsSupport implementation and enforcement of company HR policies and proceduresMaintain proper employee documentation in HR systems (e.g., BambooHR)On-Site HR Presence & Leadership SupportMaintain a consistent on-site HR presence within the SCM Operations facilityBuild strong working relationships with SCM leadership to support operational effectivenessProvide HR guidance aligned with both HR standards and operational realitiesReporting & DocumentationMaintain accurate employee records and case documentationPrepare regular HR status updates and issue summaries for HR Team HeadEscalate sensitive or high-risk issues promptly and appropriatelyRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.5+ years of HR generalist or HR manager experience, preferably in logistics, transportation, or operations-heavy environments.Strong working knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR best practicesExcellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.Experience supporting hourly, non-exempt, and driver workforcesPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting driver populations (CDL)Familiarity with DOT-regulated environments (employment-related aspects)On-site HR experience within warehouse, terminal, or SCM operationsExperience using HRIS/ATS platforms (e.g., BambooHR)Work Schedule and LocationFull-time, on-site position at the SCM Operations facility in Ellabell, GAFrequent interaction with drivers, supervisors, and operations leadershipMay require flexibility in work hours based on operational needsCompensation & BenefitsMedical Insurance: 85% company-paidDental & Vision Insurance: 80% company-paidLife, Short-Term Disability (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD): 100% company-paidPaid Time Off (PTO): 80 hours annuallySick Leave: 40 hours annuallyPaid Holidays: 11~ 14 days annuallyRetirement Plan: 401(k) with 4% of company match
