They have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality craftsmanship and reliable service across a wide range of construction projects. The company provides turnkey construction solutions, handling projects from the ground up. Their capabilities include dirt work, concrete, pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMBs), framing, and additional construction services, allowing them to support clients through multiple phases of the building process.Position OverviewThis position analyzes project drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine quantities, labor requirements, equipment needs, and material costs. The estimator will collaborate closely with project managers, field supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure estimates are thorough, competitive, and aligned with the company's production capabilities.Key ResponsibilitiesReview plans, specifications, and bid documentsPerform quantity takeoffs for: Footings and foundations, Slabs on grade, Structural concrete, Sidewalks, curb and gutter, and Site flatworkDevelop labor, equipment, and material cost estimatesSolicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricingPrepare bid proposals, scopes, and bid packagesParticipate in bid strategy meetings and pre-bid walkthroughsIdentify value engineering and cost-saving opportunitiesTrack historical cost data to improve estimating accuracyQualifications:Experience7–10 years of estimating experience in concrete or commercial constructionExperience estimating foundations, structural concrete, and flatworkExperience working with subcontractors and suppliersTechnical SkillsStrong blueprint reading and specification interpretationQuantity takeoffs and cost estimatingExperience with estimating software (PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Procore, Sage, or similar)Strong Excel skillsUnderstanding of concrete production methods and schedulingFor a confidential discussion about this opportunity, please contact:Kaydee CoxSpecialty Construction RecruiterPhone: (605) 610-6030Email: kaydee@solidrockrecruiting.comSolid Rock Recruiting is proud to partner in this search.
