Self-funded for a decade, now scaling hard into AI compute after a raise at a $3.5B valuation.This is a real network engineer's seat, not a ticket queue. You'll own the underlay and overlay across a genuinely global network, work traffic at internet scale, and have the autonomy to drive fixes end to end.What you'll do:Own underlay + overlay networking across a global cloud backboneOnboard BYO-BGP customers and troubleshoot availability, reachability, latency and jitter — plus cloud-native VPC networksHunt down the root cause of network events (tech debt, architecture, process) and drive the fix end to endWrite and battle-test the maintenance procedures that keep customer impact at zeroBuild the scripts and tooling that make repetitive network changes disappearTroubleshoot across every layer of the OSI modelWhat you'll bring:1–2+ years on BGP-based networks at internet scale — full routing tables, IRR/RIR, RPKI, routing + peering policy and architecturesVxLAN / EVPN understandingLinux administration (Debian preferred) — kernel routes, iptables/nftables/ebtables/ipset, and FRR / BirdCloud networking — VPCs, NFV, Direct Connect, IPsecA proactive, spot-it-before-it-breaks instinct and clean documentation habitsFamiliarity with one or more of Juniper, Cisco, Brocade, Cumulus, SONiCPython scripting and Ansible are a plus; CCNA / JNCIA highly preferredWhat's in it for you:Fully remote100% company-paid medical, dental & vision premiums401(k) matched 100% up to 4%, immediate vesting$2,500/yr professional development budgetPaid sabbatical every 5 years + anniversary bonusesRemote office + internet + gym stipends
