Optical Sales Executive

Our client, a leading provider of optical products, services, and business solutions for Eye Care Professionals, is seeking a field‑based Optical Sales Executive to manage and expand a key New York territory. The ideal candidate will be skilled in consultative sales, relationship management, and territory development, with the ability to drive revenue across a diverse portfolio of optical solutions.This role focuses on deepening engagement with key accounts, developing new business, and delivering practice‑enhancing value to Optometrists, Ophthalmologists, and Opticians. The Optical Sales Executive will represent an extensive product and service suite, including contact lenses, optical lab services, and practice‑building business solutions.This is an outside sales role requiring daily face‑to‑face customer interactions and approximately 30% overnight travel. Candidates must reside within the New York territory.Essential ResponsibilitiesSales & Revenue GrowthAchieve quarterly sales objectives through a consultative, solutions‑based selling approach.Manage and grow a book of business that includes key, high‑value accounts.Increase territory revenue through strategic cross‑selling and targeted prospecting, including cold outreach to new accounts.Conduct regular business reviews to evaluate account needs, introduce new solutions, and support customer growth goals.Account Management & Relationship DevelopmentBuild strong, service‑oriented relationships with Eye Care Professionals and office staff.Deliver product and service training sessions as needed to support account performance.Collaborate with representatives from major soft contact lens and optical lab manufacturers to align on opportunities and support joint business initiatives.Maintain consistent communication and engagement cadence based on territory strategy and account prioritization.Territory Planning & ExecutionCreate and execute a comprehensive quarterly territory business plan, including zoning, call strategies, and growth objectives.Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and adjust tactics as needed.Plan and conduct weekly meetings with ECPs and key decision makers based on territory insights and sales leadership direction.Follow up on all leads within 24–48 hours and maintain detailed activity logs.Internal Collaboration & ReportingWork closely with internal partners across operations, business solutions, and customer support to ensure seamless service delivery.Track all customer interactions, activities, and opportunities within the company’s CRM system.Provide biweekly territory updates to sales leadership, highlighting performance, challenges, and key opportunities.Participate in required sales training and development programs.Industry EngagementAttend local, state, and national meetings, conferences, and industry events as needed to support customer relationships and continued market awareness.QualificationsRequiredBachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.Minimum 3 years of field‑based B2B sales experience, or 3 years in an optical retail setting with responsibility for driving revenue.Valid driver’s license.Proficiency with PC applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Teams.Experience using CRM platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce.Ability to travel overnight approximately 30–50%, depending on geography.Must reside within the New York territory and be able to conduct daily in‑person visits.PreferredExperience calling on Optometrists, Ophthalmologists, and/or Opticians.Experience promoting contact lenses, eyeglass lenses, frames, or other vision‑care products.Background as an optician or experience working in an eyecare environment.Current territory management experience with a sales quota (3+ years).Demonstrated career progression and history of sales achievement (awards, recognitions, or promotions).For more information, please reach out to: talbeeya.khan@established-search.com
