None of that programming happens without a safe, clean, and functional physical environment.We're looking for a Facilities & Properties Manager to own that environment. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in keeping things running — managing maintenance, custodial operations, vendor contracts, safety systems, and grounds across all CRYP properties.You don't need a college degree. You do need practical experience, strong follow-through, and a genuine commitment to the community you'll be serving. If you're willing to learn, we're willing to teach.What You'll DoBuilding & Grounds MaintenanceOversee maintenance of all CRYP facilities, properties, and equipment across the full campusConduct and document regular facility inspections; ensure buildings and grounds meet organizational standardsRecommend and coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and facility design modificationsManage service contracts; review and verify work completed by vendors and contractorsCoordinate with staff, volunteers, and janitorial personnel to support ongoing facility upkeepCustodial & Safety OperationsOversee custodial functions and ensure facilities remain clean and safe for youth, staff, and guestsImplement and maintain security and emergency preparedness proceduresCommunicate workplace safety protocols to staff and ensure complianceSupervision & Resource ManagementSupervise facilities staff and ensure work is performed correctly, efficiently, and to standardForecast and manage the financial and physical resources of the facilities departmentSupport event setup, breakdown, and facilities coordination as neededWhat We're Looking ForRequiredHigh school diploma or equivalentExperience in facilities management, building maintenance, or a related fieldKnowledge of building systems including mechanical, electrical, and plumbingStrong project management and organizational skillsAbility to manage vendors and contractors effectivelyValid South Dakota driver's license (or ability to obtain one)Must pass background check and drug screeningPreferredExperience with or knowledge of American Indian communitiesPrior experience in a youth-serving organizationFirst Aid / Safety certification (or willingness to be trained)Physical RequirementsThis role works both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Candidates must be able to lift, climb, and perform manual labor as needed.
