Dog Bather / Pet Care Assistant
Freeport, ME 25-32 hrs/week — 8AM – 3 PM Weekends required
Love dogs, don’t mind getting splashed, and enjoy staying busy? We’re looking for a kind, confident, detail-oriented Dog Bather / Pet Care Assistant to join our team!
What You’ll Do
Assist the Lead Bather with spa appointments.
Bathe, condition, dry, brush, de-shed, and perform blow-outs
Nail filing and full coat care (no hair trimming)
Safely handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments
Keep bathing and pet care areas clean and organized
Pitch in with Pack Leader responsibilities as needed—guiding playgroups, walking pups, offering enrichment, handling feeding and cleaning, and helping keep the whole space feeling calm, safe, and full of good vibes.
What We’re Looking For
Dog bathing or animal care experience preferred
Comfortable with lifting, water, and lots of fur
Calm, assertive, and kind with strong attention to detail
Reliable with weekend availability
Happy to jump in wherever needed, stepping into additional roles to support the team and keep the day flowing smoothly for all our pups.
