Diagnostic Radiology Technologist- Nights
Job Summary
Open position for an X‑ray Technician I (eligible for a $20,000 sign‑on bonus). Candidates may be considered for higher levels (X‑ray Tech II) based on skill, qualification, and experience.
Job Duties
Ensures correct order is obtained, patient is properly identified and prepared for exam, and clinical history is corroborated and appropriately documented while respecting confidentiality.
Utilizes appropriate imaging protocol and optimizes technical factors while maximizing patient safety, patient care, and applying principles of ALARA (As Low as Reasonably Achievable).
Prepares and/or administers medications as applicable through new or existing vascular access sites as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
Evaluates images for proper positioning and acceptable technical quality, verifies archival storage/transfers of data, and post‑processes data if applicable.
Educates and monitors students and other health care providers.
Assists the licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiologic procedures.
Performs diagnostic radiographic and non‑interpretive fluoroscopic procedures as prescribed by a licensed practitioner, including those performed outside the Radiology Department (operating room, endoscopy, ICU, etc.).
Position Details
New graduates must obtain ARRT‑R registry within 6 months of hire.
Applicants hired after March 10, 2024 must complete steps required for advancement to level 2 within 24 months.
Education
Graduate from Specialty Training Program—Radiologic Technology (Required). Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study (Preferred).
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of related work experience (Required).
Certification
Basic Life Support Certification (Default Issuing Body); Radiography (R) — American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
