Information Technology Technician

IT Hardware Technician (Part-Time Contract)Location: Baltimore, MD (Onsite)Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-1:00 PM (20 hours/week)Duration: 1-3 MonthsWe are seeking a detail-oriented IT Hardware Technician to support a large-scale laptop refresh and repair initiative. This role will focus on hardware diagnostics, repair, asset processing, and shipment coordination.Responsibilities:Perform diagnostics and functionality assessments on Dell Latitude laptops.Complete hardware repairs including battery replacements, bezel swaps, RAM upgrades, and LCD replacements.Prepare and coordinate laptop shipments for imaging and refurbishment activities.Document assessment results and track device status, including repair, RMA, and decommissioning records.Maintain accurate inventory and asset documentation throughout the hardware lifecycle.Qualifications:Experience troubleshooting and repairing laptop hardware.Knowledge of PC components including memory, batteries, displays, and peripheral devices.Strong documentation and organizational skills.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.Ideal Background:Desktop support, hardware deployment, break/fix repair, or IT asset management experience.Prior experience working with Dell Latitude systems preferred.
