Electrical Design Engineer

We are hiring an Electrical Engineer to support the operations and sustainment of complex space-based and ground systems. In this role, you'll contribute directly to mission-critical architectures-working across disciplines to design, analyze, and verify electrical systems that must perform reliably in demanding environments.This position plays a key role in ensuring electrical designs are integrated, compliant, and ready for long-term operational success.What You'll DoElectrical Design & Integration (Priority Focus)You'll support electrical engineering efforts across the full lifecycle, including:Assisting in the development and flow-down of electrical subsystem and box-level requirements for both space-based and ground electronic architecturesDeveloping, reviewing, and refining Electrical Interface Control Documents (ICDs)Collaborating across engineering disciplines to shape and mature space-based electrical architecturesPerforming power analysis and power estimates for space electrical systemsSupporting planning, preparation, and execution of integration, test, verification, and documentation activitiesPreparing and delivering technical presentations to peers, leadership, and customersProviding electrical subject-matter expertise to technical risk and opportunity assessments, including impact, probability, mitigation strategies, and opportunity captureOrchestrating assigned technical tasks and resolving blockers to ensure timely closureWorking closely with internal and external customers in a cross-disciplinary engineering environmentPartnering with mechanical and thermal engineering teams to define and refine electrical box-level requirementsCoordinating with EMI/EMC and Systems Engineering teams to ensure electrical requirement complianceSupporting the development and refinement of grounding diagrams and grounding architecturesSystems Engineering & Modeling ResponsibilitiesIn addition to hands-on electrical work, you'll support model-based and systems engineering activities, including:Assisting with root of trust / chain of trust requirement implementation and verificationAuthoring and reviewing electrical interface control drawingsReviewing and maintaining system grounding diagramsReviewing and maintaining system power budgetsIncorporating electrical system data into Cameo MBSE models (including ICDs and IBDs)Supporting requirements compliance, traceability, and verification from Level 5 to Level 4What You'll BringElectrical engineering experience supporting space-based and/or ground system architecturesUnderstanding of root of trust and chain of trust concepts, including firmware and software implementationFamiliarity with systems engineering tools and methodologies, specifically MBSE and CameoAbility to collaborate effectively across multiple engineering disciplinesComfort working in a highly technical, documentation-driven environmentWork Location RequirementAbility to work onsite a minimum of three (3) days per weekProgram requirements may increase onsite presence to five (5) days per week
