Project Estimator II12-Month Contract, Up to $30.74/hrJuno Beach, FloridaWe are currently seeking a Project Estimator II to join our client's project estimating team in Juno Beach, Florida on a 12-month contract basis.The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing and managing cost estimates for a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and energy projects. This position offers strong growth potential and exposure to a wide range of technologies including utility-scale solar, wind, battery energy storage, substations, transmission & distribution lines, hydrogen, pipelines, water treatment, 5G & fiber, and conventional generation projects.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed project cost estimates including conceptual, preliminary, and definitive estimates for new and existing projectsPerform conceptual engineering design and assist in developing preliminary construction plans to support scope quantificationCollaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to gather project specifications, drawings, and supporting documentationSupport value engineering initiatives to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project quality and technical requirementsDevelop and maintain estimating tools, methodologies, and databases to improve estimating accuracy and efficiencyConduct project risk assessments and support contingency development for project uncertaintiesPresent estimating data and value engineering options to project stakeholders and management teamsCoordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure best valueTrack project costs and variances throughout the project lifecycle and update estimates as project scope evolvesEnsure all estimating activities comply with company standards, industry regulations, and project requirementsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related disciplineFamiliarity with construction methods, materials, and equipmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detailProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly ExcelStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively within a fast-paced team environmentStrong willingness to learn and develop professionally within project estimatingPreferred QualificationsInternship or practical experience within construction management, engineering, or related industriesExperience using estimating software such as PlanSwift, WinEst, CostX, or similar toolsFamiliarity with project management software including MS Project or Primavera P6Work EnvironmentOffice-based role located in Juno Beach, FLOccasional travel to project sites for meetings, inspections, and collaboration activitiesFast-paced project environment requiring effective prioritization and multitasking abilities
