Early Head Start Teacher

A teacher at Bright Beginnings will provide a safe and nurturing setting that supports learning and growth. Provides quality child development that engages parents in their children’s learning and helps parents in making progress towards their own educational, literacy, and employment goals. This includes: Plan and carry out developmentally appropriate activities and experiences for infants and toddlers that advance all areas of children’s development. Assist with maintaining records as required. Maintain an appropriate and engaging classroom environment. Ensure confidentiality protocols are met within the department. Attends all department and agency meetings and trainings as required including a minimum of 16 hours of professional development per year. Work experience and/or educational requirements: CDA, AA, AS in Early Childhood Education or Child Development. Experience developing high scope curriculum. Must have a valid Driver’s License. Ability to pass a thorough background check including ICHAT, fingerprint, and DHS child abuse clearance, and drug test. Computer and basic software skills (MS Office, email).
