The Network has an advisory board made up of subject matter experts and participants of the network.Position Overview:The Controller will serve as a key finance leader within Full Circle Health Network, responsible for overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls across a multi-entity, community-based healthcare network. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Controller will ensure compliance with GAAP, nonprofit accounting standards, and healthcare regulatory requirements while supporting financial strategy and organizational growth.As a member of the finance leadership team, the Controller will partner with the CFO, executive leadership, and cross-functional teams to ensure financial transparency, accountability, and alignment with network operations and long-term sustainability.This is a remote position for candidates living in California. The role may require occasional travel for conferences, onsite meetings, audits, or statewide engagements supporting network operations and partnerships.Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting & CloseLead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP.Ensure accurate reporting of program revenues, grants, and expenses across multiple funding streams.Accounting OperationsOversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.Manage nonprofit revenue streams, including grants, donations, and government reimbursements.Maintain fixed asset schedules and ensure proper accounting for restricted and unrestricted funds.Compliance, Risk Management & AuditEnsure compliance with federal and California nonprofit regulations.Maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies to mitigate financial and operational risk.Lead annual audit process and preparation of Form 990.Ensure compliance with Medi-Cal Managed Care Plans, DHCS, CMS, and other funding and regulatory requirements.Identify financial risks and implement corrective controls and mitigation strategies.Budgeting & ForecastingLead annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting.Partner with executive leadership on financial planning and analysis.Provide variance analysis and actionable financial insights.Organizational Leadership & SupportSupervise and develop accounting and finance staff.Build scalable financial systems and processes to support organizational growth.Collaborate across departments to align financial operations with program and organizational goals.Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for leadership.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA preferred.5–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including nonprofit accounting.Strong knowledge of GAAP, fund accounting, and financial reporting.Experience with healthcare organizations, managed care, or multi-entity structures preferred.Experience leading audits and maintaining internal controls.Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.Compensation & Benefits:Competitive salary: $109,000 – $125,000, commensurate with experienceComprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and retirement contributionsRemote work within California, with occasional travel as neededAdditional Employment Information:Equal Employment OpportunityFull Circle Health Network is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce.
