SR. TECHNICAL DESIGNER - LUXURY RTW

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Designer to lead techdevelopment and own fit across all product categories. The Sr. Technical Designer willserve as the authority on fit, partnering closely with Design, Product Development, andProduction. This is a critical leadership role responsible for upholding the higheststandards of craftmanship, precision, and brand integrity from concept throughproduction. This role will be in-office 5 days a week.Job Responsibilities:Own end-to-end tech development from initial concept through bulk production Lead all fittings and offer suggestions to Design teams, PD, and Sales as neededMaintain established fit standards aligned with the brand’s luxury positioning, update as neededTranslate design intent into precise technical execution without compromising aestheticSchedule and conduct all fittings on live modelsSpec all garments prior to fittingFit and comment on all products from proto, SMS, 1st fit, PPS to TOP stage with clear and accurate direction to factoriesReview and approve grading, specs, and construction details across all categoriesCreate and update all tech packs, ensuring accuracy and consistencyDraw construction sketches for factories as neededAdhere to the calendar deadlines with the ability to prioritize workloadCommunicate daily with overseas factories to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly Monitor and track status of development and production samples, ensuring timelines and quality standards are metManage alterations during show time with PD coordinator & local factoriesMaintain and evolve block libraries and fit standards across seasonsDrive continuous improvement in fit, construction, and technical processDetermine size scale for each styleQualifications:10+ years of technical design experience with experience in higher end or luxury markets and 3+ years of leading the tech teamDegree in Technical design or similar degreePatternmaking knowledge and pattern correction knowledge for all categoriesGrading understanding a mustDeep understanding of all product categories. Wovens + Knitwear (tops, dresses, pants, jackets, skirts, leather…etc)Luxury construction expertSkilled fit technicianExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcel/Word/Photoshop/IllustratorRLM experience or similar programStrong organization skillsTeam player & problem solverDraping skillsSewing skills a plus
