Traffic Manager
JOB REQUIREMENTS: The City of Green Bay is seeking a Traffic Manager tolead our Traffic Division which oversees everything from signal timingand street lighting to traffic calming, safety initiatives, andlong-term mobility planning. In this role, you\'ll lead a talented team,guide citywide traffic safety initiatives, and shape transportationplanning, all within a stable schedule that supports balance, familytime, and life in a community you\'ll love. Examples of Duties:Supervises, oversees and provides direction to Traffic Division staff,including traffic engineering/technician staff, Electrical Sectionsupervisor, seasonal engineering aides, and other operational staff, asassigned. -Develops and oversees the implementation of all trafficcontrol for maintenance and construction projects. -Directs and overseesthe design, installation and maintenance of all traffic controls.Conducts or contracts for various traffic engineering analysis,including street light studies, capacity analysis, signal timing,geometric analysis and prepares various reports and recommendations.Responds to complaints related to the Traffic Division functions.Maintains related traffic ordinances as the secretary of the Traffic,Bicycle and Pedestrian Commission. -Responsible for planning of annualtraffic programs including pavement marking and large traffic signingactivities -Advises Operations Division Street Section Sign Shop onproper process, installation and maintenance of traffic controlactivities -Responsible for budget preparation and tracking for theTraffic Division. -Prepares grant applications and manages grantsrelated to traffic signals, traffic control or calming. -Administersagreements and invoicing related to intergovernmental traffic relatedservices and / or special events. -Reviews traffic control plans,development plans, obstruction plans, and other technical reports.Serves as the liaison between the City and other governmental agencies(WisDOT, OCR, federal railroad commission, etc.) -Meets withcontractors, applicants, utilities and others related to traffic controlmatters.
