This role ensures accurate, timely financial reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SOX, contributes to the month-end close process, and partners cross-functionally to resolve financial matters. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, ownership-driven approach.What You’ll do: Support accounting operations (GL, AP, AR, Billing) for a publicly traded company, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all financial functions.Prepare GL journal entries and account reconciliations in support of the month-end close process.Review customer credit terms, assist with collection of overdue customer receivables and record AR transactions.Setup vendors and review and confirm accuracy of procurement and expense reporting transactions within the Concur Accounts Payable and Expense Management platform.Communicate with other departments on accounting and financial matters.Correspond with customers and vendors, as needed, to resolve issues.Miscellaneous clerical and other functions, as assigned.What You bring: Hybrid role based in Gaithersburg, MD2+ years of progressive accounting experience (public or corporate) with increasing responsibilityExperience working in automated accounting systemsAdvanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office toolsStrong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX complianceApplies strong analytical thinking and attention to detail to solve problems and drive accuracyCommunicates with clarity, precision, and purposeTakes ownership and drives work forward without waiting for directionWho Thrives HereThis place isn’t for everyone.
