Arroyo Vista Family Health Center is a network of four federally qualified community health centers and a mobile clinic established in 1981 and located in Los Angeles. Our mission is to meet the current and future health needs of greater Northeast Los Angeles by providing high quality, comprehensive, and affordable health care services in a compassionate and financially responsible manner. We provide comprehensive, quality primary, specialty and urgent health care services in a compassionate, linguistically appropriate and culturally sensitive manner regardless of ability to pay. Our services include medical, dental, optometry, behavioral health, radiology, ultrasound, mammography, laboratory, pharmacy, and health education. We are accredited by The Joint Commission for ambulatory services and certified as a Primary Care Medical Home. We serve as a clinical training center for medical students and nurse practitioners through our affiliation with local universities.Job DescriptionThe Internal Medicine Physician will provide medical care to adults, including examine, diagnose, prevent and treat, illness, disease and injury. The physician will examine or conduct tests to provide information on medical status, analyze records, reports, test results, and/or examination to diagnose medical condition of patient, prescribe and administer treatment, therapy, medication and/or vaccination. The physician will explain diagnosis, procedures and discuss test results on prescribed treatments with patient and advice patients concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention. The physician will collaborate with other physicians and mid-level providers. The physician will participate in medical and interdisciplinary clinical committees. The physician may participate as a preceptor for medical and nurse practitioner students.
