Cloud Foundry Platform Engineer
Akkodis is seeking a Cloud Foundry Platform Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Chandler, AZ(Hybrid). Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in the financial services industry.Rate Range: $65-70/Hr; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.Job Description:Responsible for the design, build, and ongoing engineering of the Internal Cloud Platform’s Platform‑as‑a‑Service (PaaS) capability based on VMware Tanzu Application Server (TAS), enabling application teams to deploy and operate applications without managing underlying infrastructure. Accountable for ensuring the TAS platform meets enterprise requirements for availability, scalability, security, and developer experience while integrating seamlessly with the broader Internal Cloud compute, network, identity, and operations ecosystems. Owns the TAS platform architecture, configuration standards, and engineering patterns that govern how applications are built, deployed, and operated on the platform. Task‑level responsibilities include engineering and evolving TAS foundations, defining and implementing platform integration patterns across the VMware stack, enabling secure and scalable application runtimes, supporting application onboarding and modernization to the PaaS model, and collaborating with platform automation, SRE, and operations teams to continuously improve platform reliability, scalability, and lifecycle management.Required Qualifications:- 4–5 years' experience engineering or operating Platform‑as‑a‑Service (PaaS) environments.- Strong hands‑on experience with Linux, application runtimes, and platform architecture.- Familiarity with VMware, virtualization concepts, and internal cloud platforms.- Experience supporting developer onboarding, CI/CD integration, and application runtime platforms.Desired Qualifications:- Direct experience with VMware Tanzu Application Server (TAS) or Cloud Foundry.- 5-7+ years supporting enterprise PaaS or internal developer platforms.- PaaS, cloud platform, or DevOps certification.- Experience modernizing applications to PaaS models in regulated enterprises.If you are interested in this role, then please click APPLY NOW.
