Your decisions protect people, projects, and a national security mission that few facilities in the world can match.If you're a seasoned HP professional with deep DOE or nuclear experience and you're ready to be the technical leader in the room - this role was built for you.What You'll DoServe as the primary technical point of contact for planning, coordination, and resolution of conflicting radiological control demands in high-hazard, dynamic environmentsAct as authorized subject matter expert (SME) for radiological work control packages (RWCPs) - including high-hazard radiological workIndependently develop solutions to complex radiological problems, escalating only when scope demands itMentor and provide technical leadership to RCT 1–3 level technicians, setting the standard for safety and complianceCoordinate work area resources across teams to ensure safe and efficient operationsInterface directly with health physicists, engineers, and facility management on radiological mattersAnticipate problems before they arise and handle unforeseen radiological issues without appreciable directionPerform work in PPE including respiratory protection; work may be outdoors and outside regular hoursWhat We're Looking ForRequiredS. Citizenship and ability to obtain a DOE Q Clearance5+ years of RCT experience in a DOE, nuclear, or equivalent regulated facilityExpert-level knowledge of 10CFR835, radiation work permits, and ALARA implementationDemonstrated track record of independent technical decision-making in high-hazard environmentsExperience developing or reviewing radiological work control packages (RWCPs)Availability for 24/7 rotating shifts including nights and weekendsPreferredActive DOE Core Card and/or NRRPT (National Registry of Radiation Protection Technologists) certificationPrior LANL, NNSA, or DOE national laboratory experienceExperience in Hazard Category 2 nuclear facilities or plutonium environmentsHistory of mentoring or supervising junior RCT personnelAssociate's degree, technical certification, or completion of advanced HP trainingSchedule & CompensationPay Rate: $45–$51/hr depending on experienceShift Differential: Additional pay available for qualifying shift assignments - ask us for detailsSchedule: 24/7 rotating coverage - may include nights, weekends, and non-standard hoursMandatory Requirements - Read Before ApplyingS.
