Our office is located in Littleton, CO, and operating hours are Monday – Friday.We do not offer relocation benefits or issuing work visas.Your day-to-day will include:Lead and manage a 2 to 3-person team. You will oversee your team’s workload and productivity, review projects and maintain timelines/milestones.Lead and manage multiple architectural and interior projects and their phases, from Schematic Design/Conception through Design Development, Construction Administration, and Closeout.Serve as the Construction Administrator during Construction Phases, as required. Some of the responsibilities during this phase include:Review and approval of Shop Drawings & Submittals.Responding to Contractor’s Requests for Information (RFI’s).Some of your responsibilities will include:Lead the process of design and construction documents for bidding and construction on multiple projects.Lead the field measuring survey of existing spaces and structures and direct the junior staff accordingly.Develop design/space plans based upon client’s approved program requirements.Perform quality assurance checks on all drawings and documents related to assigned projects.Issue progress review sets of drawings to the Project Architect/senior management team at various levels of development, according to defined project milestone dates.Identify and advise Project Architect of any changes in construction costs.Prepare and Issue Construction Field Directives under the supervision of the Project Architect and/or senior management team.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Architecture (BArch) or a 4-year Bachelor of Science in Architecture Degree Bachelor of Interior Design, or Bachelor of Interior Architecture from an Accredited College or University.5-7 years of relevant work experience under the direct supervision of a licensed Architect.Possess high-level knowledge and proficiency in Revit and Microsoft-based systems (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Etc.).Solution-oriented attitude and creative thinkingExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Possess strong interpersonal skills among the project team, consultants, and client representatives.Proficient knowledge of federal, state, and local building administrative, Life Safety, and Energy codes (including national standards) relating to various building projects while understanding how to implement local zoning regulations as applicable to solve the architectural design concept.Proficient understanding of Construction Drawing/Detailing of various commercial and institutional building systems of significant size.Proficient understanding of MEP, Structural and Site/Civil Engineering trades, while understanding the impact that these trades have on the architectural design concept.The Project Manager must possess the ability to direct consulting teams in the early stages of design and be involved in the election of structural and MEP systems and assemblies for each Project(s). The Project Manager must properly coordinate these consultant trades throughout the Construction Document phase.Preferred SkillsUnderstanding modern architectural/construction means and methods and the ability to fully detail these systems in coordination with structural, mechanical, and civil trades.Ability to solve complex design and construction problems to serve the Client’s program.Ability to function comfortably, gain trust, confidence, and deal effectively with a wide range of individuals, including clients, owner’s representatives, consultants, contractors, and project team.Strong building department experience: prepare applications, draft responses to plan comments, define alternate approaches to achieve project approvals.Additional information:Relocation and sponsorship are not available for this role.Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.Must be able to sit for long periods of time (a standard workday) and ambulate around a traditional office environment as well as job site under various stages of constructionThis position is held in a traditional office environment and requires job site visitation at various stages of construction.
