Safety Program Manager - Pharmaceuticals - Ohio - 12-Month Contract This is a fantastic opportunity for a Safety Program Manager to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Maryland, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and manage the overall safety program for the API manufacturing campus project, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and standards.Create and enforce safety policies and procedures tailored to the specific needs of the project, ensuring all team members are aware of and adhere to these guidelines.Conduct regular safety training sessions for all project personnel, including contractors and subcontractors, to promote a culture of safety and awareness.Perform thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop effective mitigation strategies to prevent accidents and incidents.Oversee the investigation of any safety incidents or near misses, ensuring thorough documentation and implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations, as well as company-specific safety standards.QualificationsMinimum of 10 years of experience in safety management for large-scale capital projects, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.Proven experience managing safety programs for construction projects valued at $500 million or more.Demonstrable experience managing safety across a portfolio of projects, with strong multi-project coordination skills.Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, CHST) are a plus.Proficiency in safety management software and tools, strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, and other relevant safety standards.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate safety issues and develop effective solutions.If this role is of interest to you, please apply now!
