Hours REQUIRED: Monday through Sunday (day hours and late evenings) Client LOCATIONS: East Bay, Oakland, Alameda, Hayward, Fremont Must attend Mandatory New Hire Orientation Via Zoom and in-person (Paid Training!) What we REQUIRE: A minimum of a high school diploma – pay rate dependent on level of education, credentials, and experience 1+ years’ experience implementing behavior intervention services with individuals with special needs Reliable means of transportation, valid CA driver's license, registration, and proof of insurance Must pass a TB test Must pass a criminal background check (FBI/DOJ clearance) Job Description: Behavior Technician The role of a Behavior Technician (BT) is to provide direct intervention services to individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and related developmental disabilities under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Primary responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: Implement behavior plans and skill acquisition programs plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) as designed by a BCBA Maintain up to date knowledge of client(s) programming (e.g., behavior intervention plans, skill acquisition programs) and changes in programming Conduct preference assessments on an on-going basis Accurately collect data as prescribed in real-time Collaborate with, train, and function as liaisons with outside care providers (e.g. parents, outside agency providers, etc.) and collaborate with members of client’s clinical team as needed Maintain dignity of client while assisting with personal care which may include nutrition, personal hygiene and supporting client to look his/her best Accurately complete Internal Incident Reports (IIR) and Mandated Reporting in a timely manner as applicable Complete all required initial and on-going staff trainings Adhere to ethical practices and core values of CABA Adhere to standards for best practices as determined by legislation, industry standards, funding sources, and CABA Fulfill all requirements to obtain and maintain a credential as a Registered Behavior Technician(RBT) set forth by credentialing body (i.e., BACB), industry standards, funding sources, and CABA standards Complete other clinical and administrative activities assigned at the discretion of CABA Physical Requirements: Willingness and health status to permit working outdoors in all weather conditions Strength and stamina to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds, walk stand, stoop, and kneel for extended periods of time Physical capacity to safely push individuals in wheelchairs on a variety of terrain and support individuals with other mobility needs as required Passes a Physical Abilities Test What we offer: Paid comprehensive initial and ongoing training program of 40 hours consisting of classroom training, online training and job shadowing/observation CABA sponsors qualified behavior technicians to become Registered Behavior Technician(s) (RBT) Pay range from $24-$32/hr. - pay rate dependent on level of education, credentials, and experience Travel time pay and mileage reimbursement Paid Sick/Leave Time Annual performance reviews with potential wage increases Opportunities for career advancement LifeMart corporate discount programs for business, travel, tickets, electronics, home, auto, wellness, family, and more!
