Essential Functions/Duties/Responsibilities:Prepare and administer medications to residents as ordered by physician within scope of practice.Document medications administered, and resident response as indicated.Reorder medications and stock supplies as needed.Monitor residents' vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood-pressure.Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating, ensuring comfort and dignity with focus in hospitality.Support residents in moving safely, whether through walking, transferring from bed to wheelchair, or repositioning to prevent pressure ulcers.Effectively communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team to relay important information regarding resident health and well-being.Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to hygiene and infection control protocols, including proper disposal of waste and sanitization procedures.Accurately record care provided, changes in residents'' conditions, and any incidents in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive and respectful environment.Support clinical team with clinical tasks and participate in care plan meetings to enhance the quality of care for the residents.Adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a secure environment.Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices and regulatory requirements in long-term care.Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies:Ability to recognize evidence of patient neglect or abuse.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and ability to learn new software systems.Strong communication skills to effectively and empathetically address critical health and end of life issues with a diverse resident population and family members.Education and Experience:Current State of Oklahoma Medication Aide certification (required).Current State of Oklahoma Long-Term Care Aide certification (required).Current CPR and First Aid certification is required (required).Previous skilled nursing experience within a long-term care (LTC), assisted living, Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), or hospital environment is preferred.Physical Requirements:An extensive amount of walking, standing, and sitting, with a moderate amount of bending at the waist, kneeling, twisting/turning, reaching above the head and shoulders, and eye-hand coordination.Ability to routinely lift 35 pounds and push wheelchairs with loads of up to 300 pounds.Frequent use of ordinary communication, including normal levels of hearing and vision, including both near and far seeing, color discrimination, field of vision, and depth perception.Ability to use a computer or other office equipment for an extensive period.Strong interpersonal skills and understanding of quality customer management and service.Ability to effectively manage sensitive and confidential communications and information, while maintaining a high level of poise, tact, and diplomacy.Solid analytical ability and problem-solving skills.Ability to effectively interact with a diverse leadership team, staff, and third-party associates, including vendors, providers, and visitors.Other Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
