Job DescriptionDescriptionThe Army Navy Business Group currently has a career opportunity for a Fleet Unit Level Training (ULT) Voice Communications Support Training Analyst to provide support to Commander, Afloat Training Group Atlantic in Norfolk, VA.The individual in this position will provide telecommunications support and serve as a live and synthetic training Voice Communications technical expert and program analyst. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of fleet tactical warfare principles, doctrine, tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP), and experience in naval fleet synthetic training (FST) development, execution and evaluation, and simulation program operation. In addition, he/she will have excellent public speaking, presentation, and time management skills, as well as at least six years of applicable experience in:U.S. Navy fleet and/or Joint training operations, policy, doctrine, systems, and staff procedures, including an understanding of the Optimized Fleet Response Plan (OFRP), Fleet Response Training Plan (FRTP), Fleet Training Continuum (FTC) and other Navy training policies.Managing/ prioritizing projects involving numerous stakeholders.Leveraging best practices and handling multiple tasks and interruptions with minimal impact on productivity/deliverables.Conducting fleet training analysis/assessment to identify gaps, training needs and solutions,Engaging Senior Staff at the Director/Manager level in both written and oral formatSpecific Functional Area tasks include:Configure, align, and operate communications equipment.Maintain data and voice communications equipment.Validate communications architecture for distributed exercises during ULT certification events (FST-U).Provide ATG "Battle Lab" with technical and operational communications support in tactical mission areas to include fleet synthetic training (FST-U), cruise missile distributed training, BMD distributed training, and data link distributed training.Review communications requirements and draft OPTASK COMMS, SAR and COMSEC callout messages.Guide and assist watch teams by observing, identifying, and correcting communication during exercise execution.Provide communications operations and technical support for the following:SatelliteUHFVHFHFIP-based Distributed interactive system (DIS)Cryptologic devicesQualificationsREQUIRED BACKGROUND / EDUCATION / SKILLS:Must be a U.S. citizen with a Secret clearance and Bachelor's degree.3 years of experience operating communications systems to include satellite, UHF, VHF, IP-based communications, Distributed Interaction System (DIS), LAN and cryptologic devices.Experience in use of MS Office (e.g., Excel and PowerPoint) products.DESIRED BACKGROUND / EDUCATION / SKILLS:* Solid understanding of all phases of the Fleet Response Training Plan (FRTP) and Optimized Fleet Response Plan (OFRP).* Familiarity with Surface Force Readiness Manual (SFRM) and Surface Force Exercise Manual (SFEM) is a plus.OverviewSAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.SAIC is a premier Fortune 500 mission integrator focused on advancing the power of technology and innovation to serve and protect our world.
