Join us and be part of a dynamic team shaping the future of travel.  About the oneworld Membership & Global PartnershipsThe Membership & Global Partnerships function is responsible for supporting alliance growth, member integration, alliance governance, compliance oversight, and strategic partnership coordination across the oneworld ecosystem.The team works closely with member airlines, alliance governance bodies, and internal oMC functional teams to ensure the consistent delivery of alliance standards, operational readiness, customer experience requirements, and strategic partnership initiatives.About this roleReporting to the Vice President of Membership & Global Partnerships, the Director Membership is responsible for leading alliance membership integration, compliance oversight, and delivery governance across oneworld member airlines and strategic partners.The role acts as a central coordination and governance function between oneworld Management Company (oMC), member airlines, alliance working groups, and strategic stakeholders, ensuring alliance requirements are implemented consistently and effectively across the network.The Director will oversee membership integration programmes, alliance delivery frameworks, compliance and audit activities, DRD governance processes, and operational escalation management. The role also supports the continuous evolution of alliance requirements and delivery standards to ensure ongoing relevance in a rapidly changing industry environment.This position operates in a highly collaborative and multicultural environment and requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, governance, programme delivery, and communication capabilities.Key Accountabilities:·      Lead alliance membership integration and delivery programs across current and future oneworld members and affiliates, including member evaluations, onboarding, and integration planning·      Act as a central coordination and escalation point for alliance delivery, operational readiness, compliance matters, and issue resolution·      Oversee member compliance with the Global Brand Delivery Requirements (DRD), alliance standards, and governance frameworks, including the review, maintenance, implementation, and ongoing management of DRD activities across alliance functional areas·      Ensure alliance requirements, policies, and multilateral procedures remain current, practical, and aligned with evolving industry, legal, operational, and technology developments·      Support audit, validation, and compliance monitoring activities across brand, marketing, communications, customer experience, airports, lounges, loyalty, sales, IT systems and digital areas·      Coordinate and manage relationships across oPDs, alliance governance bodies, member airlines, working groups, contact teams, SMEs, airports, vendors, and strategic partners to ensure effective alliance delivery, strong governance alignment, operational consistency, and the sharing of best practices across the alliance·      Develop and maintain programme plans, governance documentation, status reporting, risk registers, and issue management processes, while proactively identifying delivery risks, integration dependencies, and operational challenges and coordinating mitigation actions across stakeholders·      Prepare and support executive presentations, board papers, governance updates, and strategic recommendations for alliance leadership forumsSkills, Experience and Qualifications:·      Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in the airline industry, alliance management, partnerships, operations, customer experience, or programme delivery·      Strong understanding of airline alliances, governance structures, and cross-airline operational environments·      Experience leading complex cross-functional programmes across multiple organisations and international stakeholders·      Good understanding of airline operations, loyalty, customer experience, sales and distribution, and digital systems·      Experience managing governance, compliance, audit, or operational delivery programmes preferred·      Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills across executive and operational levels·      Strong project and programme management capability, including planning, reporting, risk management, and issue resolution·      Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex topics clearly and simply·      Highly organised, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced international environment·      Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and project management tools·      Project Management certification (PMP, Prince2, Six Sigma or equivalent) desirable·      Ability to travel internationally as required oneworld Core Competencies:Suitable candidates for positions at oneworld will possess the following core competencies:·      Results with Integrity·      Strategic Thinking·      Collaboration·      Trust & Accountability·      Growth and Developmentoneworld offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, competitive compensation. oneworld is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
