Member Experience Specialist

The Member Experience Specialist will create personal in-person experiences for existing and prospective members by conducting interactive and collaborative interviews at new member origination, subsequent account maintenance, transactional requests, loan processing, demonstration of digital services, and provide basic financial counseling while identifying opportunities to expand relationships. Functions Greeting members, representing the Credit Union in a courteous and professional manner, providing prompt, efficient, and accurate services in any area needed. Assisting members with opening and closing accounts, processing transactions, account maintenance, and loan processing. Addresses and resolves member problems, inquiries, or complaints. Refers problems to management as needed, along with recommendations for resolution. Maintaining, securing, and balancing cash machines and all work involved in transactions. Making decisions on accepting negotiable instruments for cash, deposit or payment or seeking approval when needed. Selling and cross-selling all Credit Union products and services to members; must have adequate product knowledge to present them in a positive, professional manner, answering any questions the member may have. Assisting members with service inquiries that include debit cards, fraud and dispute requests, stop payments, unauthorized ACH requests, file maintenance requests, online/mobile banking, and mobile deposit. Maintaining knowledge on all digital products and services and possess the ability to competently explain and assist members in the setup and use. Conducting loan interviews in a consultative manner, and obtain credit history, financial data, and any information necessary for a sound loan decision. Knowledgeable of the Credit Union’s loan policies and rates. Verifies that all paperwork necessary to act on a loan is complete and available for the underwriters. Verifies that all ratios are within guidelines of the Credit Union. Able to explain and sell all payment protection products so that the member realizes the benefit of the product. Creates loan closing documents, meets with the members and obtains all necessary signatures and documents, books the loan and organizes loan documents for review. Performs other duties as assigned.
