Manufacturing Materials Flow & Forklift Operations Specialist
A day in this roleFrom the first pick ticket to the final pallet placed, you keep materials moving so production never skips a beat. You’ll verify what arrives, judge quality on the spot, put inventory where it belongs, and make sure every movement is captured in the system. Between counts, transfers, and returns-to-stock, you’ll operate forklifts and other equipment with care—always mindful of safety and the teammates around you.What you’ll handleMaintain precise inventory levels and supply designated production areas with the right materials at the right time.Operate essential tools and equipment: forklifts, hand jacks, tape measures, calculators, computers, loading docks, cranes, scales, data collection equipment, radios, and copy machines.Verify the accuracy of incoming material shipments and document discrepancies.Inspect materials for defects and quality concerns before stocking.Receive and stock materials in the correct sector locations.Perform cycle counts and full physical counts for assigned items.Accurately document all shipments to production areas.Use a computer to access information and process all related paperwork promptly.Follow daily picking instructions and supply materials to designated areas, including manual placement, transfers between warehouses, and returns to stock.Load and unload materials from trailers and trucks.Conduct daily equipment checks—including fluid levels—and complete required checklists.Work safely, efficiently, accurately, and productively in alignment with company policy.Support team efforts to deliver a high-quality product.Attend scheduled shifts consistently and on time; maintain strong attendance.Be available for mandatory overtime as required.Ensure the safety of others working near moving vehicles.Follow all company policies and procedures and communicate effectively within a team environment.Perform other duties as assigned.What you bringCurrent forklift license/certification.Hands-on experience with inventory management and control.Background in a manufacturing environment.
