Apply via Dice today!Role: Tandem Developer/ DBALocation: RemoteDuration: 6+ MonthsJob Description:Looking for 9 years of Tandem DeveloperDesign, develop, test, and deploy applications on the Tandem platform, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.Participate in code reviews, collaborate with team members, and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, architects, and project managers, to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, coding standards, and user guides for Tandem applications.Optimize Tandem applications for performance and scalability, analyzing and refining code, database queries, and system configurations.Implement security measures and adhere to security best practices to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of data in Tandem applications.Thorough knowledge of the standard library, STL containers, and algorithmsFamiliarity with templating in C++Experience Required With TAL, C, Enscribe And SQL.Proven experience as a Tandem Developer, demonstrating successful contributions to Tandem-based projects.Strong understanding of the Tandem Non-Stop architecture and its components. Experience with integrating Tandem applications with external systems using APIs and web services.Install, configure, and manage Tandem NonStop databases (e.g., SQL/MP, SQL/MX).Set up new databases, including schemas, tables, and user accounts.Regularly monitor, tune, and maintain databases to ensure optimal performance.Optimize database performance by tuning queries, indexing strategies, and optimizing system parameters.Design, implement, and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery solutions for Tandem databases
