Legacy application modernization and reverse engineering. Problem-solving ability across unfamiliar technology domains. Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management. Ability to challenge assumptions and drive innovation. Production-ready software delivery mindset. Industry trends and continuous learning. Automation mindset for repetitive tasks. Network and relationship building skills. Nice to have: ASP.NET (legacy). Pega technology. Angular front-end. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Job Responsibilities: Key responsibilities: Solve complex technical problems and architectural challenges; move Azure AI and cloud-based business use cases from development to production; challenge existing architectural decisions and technology approaches; mentor and support developers; conduct code reviews; design solutions that span multiple teams and systems; ensure production-ready software delivery; build and maintain cross-functional relationships to unblock work. Scope of work: Primary focus on accelerating Azure AI cloud adoption and moving POC applications to production within 3-month timelines; modernizing legacy batch processes and ETL jobs from on-premises Windows Server infrastructure to cloud-based solutions; designing system and database architectures; integrating AI services into existing applications; addressing infrastructure and security constraints. Key stakeholders: Testers, database administrators, cloud engineers, Scrum Masters, project managers, network team, security team, developers across multiple teams, and the hiring manager (Richard Davis, Director of Software Engineering).
