OverviewAs an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for leading the culinary operations of our establishment, ensuring the highest standards of quality, innovation, and efficiency in the kitchen. Your leadership will play a key role in fostering a cohesive back-of-house team, delivering outstanding dining experiences, and maintaining operational excellence.ResponsibilitiesExecutive Chef responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Recruiting, leading, training, coaching back-of-house team membersEnsuring compliance with health, safety, cleanliness, and sanitation regulations, maintaining a secure work environmentOverseeing the upkeep of all kitchen equipment in accordance with state and federal guidelinesDeveloping creative menus that align with our dining standards and reflect culinary innovationManaging inventory, supplier relations, and ordering to ensure optimal stock levels and product qualityMonitoring labor and food costs, striving to meet or exceed budget goalsControlling expenditures and managing department finances, including budget, inventory controls, and labor in line with financial forecastsCoordinating activities with other hotel departments to ensure effective communication and elevated guest satisfactionResolving guest complaints and issues promptly, ensuring a positive dining experienceLeading special projects to improve kitchen efficiency and team performanceConducting regular team meetings to ensure clear communication within the departmentCollaborating with management and upcoming groups to organize and execute on-site functions and eventsOther job duties as assignedQualificationsWhat are we looking for? Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality business, team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the resort, including weekends and holidaysProven experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurantStrong knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen equipment, and safety protocols, including DHEC policies, is essentialServSafe Certification is preferred but not requiredDemonstrated expertise in innovative menu development, showcasing creativity in dish design and ingredient selectionExpertise in managing restaurant operations, including special events.Strong leadership and coaching skills with a focus on teamwork and collaborationFinancial proficiency in managing budgets, inventory, and cost controls, along with proficiency in office PC applications (e.g., spreadsheets, databases)Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving guest issues and anticipating customer needsPassion for delivering high-quality, innovative dishes and an outstanding guest experiencePassion for providing exceptional service to guests and team membersProven job reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detailTeamwork and collaborationMust be able to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, coworkers and supervisorsWhat can you look forward to?All team members enjoy WEEKLY PAY!Qualifying team members may enjoy the following benefits: Medical and Dental insuranceSupplemental insurance plans (ex.
