What we are Looking for The Cost Estimator is a hands-on quoting and cost estimating position, responsible for on-time completion of customer quote activity. The position will work closely with customers, production and sales to develop price quotes. Primary Responsibilities Accurate and timely processing of quotes, orders and routings to maintain best possible lead time while meeting customer expectations. Lead effort in routing/building all corrugated boxes Manage farm outs Request ink swatches from vendors Determine quote level and priority in order to allocate appropriate time and resources. Determine costs of producing products and provides quote information for customers. Update estimates for change requests Utilize quote metrics and contribute to the continuous improvement of the quoting process. Assist in price in/decreases Consult with necessary personnel in order to formulate estimates and resolve issues. Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues. Assist in the Spec. change process Data entry and file updates on customer info, specs, etc. Assisting Customer Service team with order entry when needed. Communicate effectively all details of the quote All other duties as assigned. Education, Experience, and Attributes 2+ years in the Corrugated industry Previous quoting, estimating or purchasing experience required. Demonstrated computer skills in Excel, MS Windows, Internet and Outlook; experience in Amtech/Encore a plus. Strong attention to detail. Ability to meet deadlines. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
