Associate Manager, Annual Giving & Development OperationsYou will play a key role in supporting the systems and campaigns that power Uncommon Schools' fundraising efforts. As Associate Manager, Annual Giving & Development Operations, you will help ensure donors have a seamless experience while contributing to the growth of our annual fund.In this role, you will manage core development operations while also supporting donor outreach, campaign execution, and stewardship. You will work closely with colleagues across the development team to translate strong systems and follow-through into meaningful fundraising outcomes. This role offers the opportunity to deepen your experience in fundraising while building expertise in the operational side of development.ResponsibilitiesDevelopment Operations & SystemsManage donor data in Salesforce, ensuring accuracy across records, gift entry, acknowledgements, and reportingOversee gift processing from receipt through acknowledgement, maintaining accuracy, timeliness, and a strong donor experienceMaintain systems, workflows, and documentation that support efficient development operationsSupport reporting and data tracking to inform fundraising strategy and decision-makingAnnual Fund ExecutionSupport and execute annual fund initiatives, including email, direct mail, and digital campaignsCoordinate campaign logistics and timelines to ensure smooth executionContribute to donor outreach efforts, including targeted communications and direct solicitationTrack campaign progress and support ongoing improvementsDonor Engagement & StewardshipSupport donor management processes, including tracking proposals, pledges, renewals, and follow-upsConduct outreach to annual fund and select mid-level donors, helping to build and maintain relationshipsPartner with team members to ensure donors receive timely, thoughtful communicationHelp strengthen donor engagement through consistent follow-through and attention to detailProject & Team SupportSupport development projects and team priorities through strong coordination and follow-throughAssist with event logistics and prospect research as neededContribute to donor-facing materials and written communicationsProvide administrative support that enables the broader team to operate effectivelyQualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree3–4 years of professional experience, including 1–2 years in a directly relevant areaExperience working with a CRM (Salesforce or similar), with a focus on data accuracy and reportingStrong organizational skills and attention to detailClear, thoughtful written communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and follow through on detailsPreferredExperience in fundraising, development operations, or donor relationsExperience with annual fund campaigns, gift processing, or donor stewardshipExperience in operations, administration, or coordination roles with high attention to detailComfort communicating with external stakeholders in a professional settingInterest in continuing to grow in development and fundraisingPhysical RequirementsMinimal physical demands; primarily sitting at a desk for extended periodsWork EnvironmentUncommon is an in-person organization, with a commitment of at least three days each week at our Central Office in downtown Manhattan (100 Church Street)Closing Not sure you meet every qualification? Typically, new hires who fully meet all qualifications listed in the job description will start at $74,300. Starting compensation below this reflects candidates with less experience or qualifications. Offers near the top end of the range are reserved for candidates who significantly exceed the qualifications, bringing extensive experience and specialized expertise beyond what is listed. Compensation determinations consider relevant professional experience and tenure with Uncommon Schools.
