Textile Designer

Role is in office 5 days per week. Company pays 100% of medical insurance for employee.We are looking for a dynamic product Designer who creates bedding, bath and soft home goods products. Must have 6-10 years of soft home design experience and understand how to create prints and work with wovens, embroideries and quilts. Must be able execute technical sketches and create original artwork. You understand the retail landscape and have worked with major retailers before.RESPONSIBILITIES:Design bedding, bath, and other soft home and produce tech packs for overseas factories.Collaborate with sales, pd and customers to translate ideas into outstanding products.Interpret customer needs, templates, and branding strategies into new styles.Ability to work well with sales and key accounts and translate ideas and concepts into beautifully designed new products.Finalize and release press-ready design files to overseas vendorsCommunicate effectively with overseas offices and factories for all necessary production and development.Maintain awareness of current trends in the industry.REQUIREMENTS:3-5 years of Design experience specifically in the Soft Home Goods industry.Strong multi-tasking abilities, can execute technical sketches and create original artwork.Can create prints, wovens, embroideries and quilts.Very proficient in Adobe Creative Suite products especially Photoshop and Illustrator.Strong organizational skills, incredibly positive and always meets deadlines.Ability to communicate collaboratively willing to learn new categories.Strong organizational and time management skills to meet or exceed deadlines.
