Human Resources Generalist

St. Petersburg, FL Human ResourcesDescriptionThe HR Generalist supports a broad range of HR functions, including onboarding and offboarding, employee relations, performance management, training, policy implementation, benefits, compensation, and general HR support for both Sales and Corporate functions. This role collaborates closely with HR and functional leaders to develop and execute effective strategies for talent management, employee development, engagement, and fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesStrategic HR PartnerSupports the HR Manager in partnering with leaders within assigned client groups. Provides guidance on HR policies, employment law compliance, and employee relations issues. Responds to employee and manager inquiries related to benefits, compensation, policies, and development resources. Engages subject matter experts for resolution of complex or escalated matters.Onboarding, Recruiting Support and HRIS MaintenanceLeads onboarding and orientation for new hires, ensuring timely updates and accuracy within the HRIS. Partners with the Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers to support recruiting strategy and process execution. Assists with offer letters, pre- employment screenings, and onboarding documentation.General HR Team SupportDelivers general HR support and responds to dynamic business needs as they arise. Provides leaders with workforce reports and analytics on headcount, staffing trends, and compensation. Participates in and may lead HR initiatives aimed at improving processes, policies, and the employee experience. Actively supports inclusive cultural efforts throughout the organization.Administrative HR TasksManages core administrative HR functions including leave of absence administration (FMLA, STD, LTD), unemployment claims, employment verifications, and compliance-related documentation. Maintains accurate and confidential employee records and ensures data integrity within the HRIS. Provides regular HR metrics and analytics to leadership.RequirementsEducation and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR Generalist, Recruiting, or Employee Relations role required.PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.Experience with Paylocity or similar HRIS platforms a plus.Requirements And QualificationsDemonstrated ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.Strong employee relations and problem-solving skills.Solid understanding of employment laws and compensation practices.Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Detail-oriented and organized, with strong time management abilities.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and HRIS systems.Comfortable working with HR metrics and analyzing basic statistical data.
