Job Description
:Core Flat Pack Assembly DutiesInventory & Preparation: Unpack "flat boxes" and organize all components, including panels (sides, tops, bottoms, backs), face frames, and specialized hardware.Structural Assembly: Construct the cabinet box by accurately joining panels using cam locks, screws, fasteners, and dowels.Hardware Installation: Mount internal and external hardware, including:Hinge brackets and door hingesDrawer glides, tracks, and carrier bracketsShelf pins for adjustable shelvingReinforcement: Apply wood glue to joints, dados, and dovetails to ensure long-term structural integrity.Squaring & Alignment: Use tools like rubber mallets and clamps to ensure the cabinet box is perfectly square and flush before final fastening.Quality Inspection: Identify any damaged or missing materials from the flat pack kit prior to assembly and perform a final check on the finished unit for flaws.]Operational & Warehouse SupportLean Production: Work within a fast-paced assembly-line environment to meet specific daily production goals.Material Handling: Assist in receiving, sorting, and staging unassembled components, which may involve using equipment like pallet jacks or hand trucks.Workspace Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe work area by disposing of packaging materials and following strict safety protocols.Required ToolsAs specified in JR McDade job listings, you will be expected to safely operate:Power drills and screw gunsGlue gunsVarious manual fastening hand tools
