Job Description & Requirements Chicago, IL - Medical Oncologist StartDate: ASAP Pay Rate: $530000.00 - $550000.00 Medicine Medical Group seeks an exceptional Medical Oncologist to join a growing practice of experienced medical oncologists. Medical Oncologist Physician Roles and Responsibilities Clinical responsibilities will include seeing outpatients at a new state of the art cancer center and micro hospital in northwest Indiana and affiliated satellite locations in northwest Indiana, including Chesterton and Valparaiso. Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for a specified patient population Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required As appropriate to the position, participates in specified health promotion, education and/or prevention programs Ability to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients in correct usage Required Skills & Qualifications Medical License in Indiana Board certified or Board Eligible in Specified Area of Medical Specialty Completed a US Residency Program Medical Oncologist Opportunity Highlights: State-of-the art facilities that offer comprehensive services including on-site chemotherapy infusion suites, clinical trials, specialty lab, pharmacy, social worker, dietitian and financial counseling at multiple sites.
