Electrical Apprentice

Position Summary Voltec LLC is seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician / Electrical Trainee to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who has some electrical or construction experience and wants to continue developing their skills while working alongside experienced journeyman electricians and field leadership. The right candidate will be dependable, hardworking, safety-conscious, and willing to learn. Apprentices will gain hands-on experience across commercial and high-end residential projects with opportunities to take on additional responsibility as their skills develop. Key Responsibilities * Assist journeyman electricians and foremen with electrical installations * Install and support EMT, PVC, MC cable, and other raceway systems * Assist with measuring, cutting, bending, and installing conduit * Pull, route, label, and terminate electrical conductors * Install electrical boxes, supports, devices, fixtures, and equipment * Assist with installation of: * Lighting and lighting control systems * Receptacles and branch circuits * Panelboards and electrical equipment * Feeders and service equipment * Low-voltage pathways and related electrical infrastructure * Learn to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and one-lines * Develop an understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical requirements * Properly use and maintain hand tools and power tools * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite * Follow direction from journeyman electricians, foremen, and project management * Follow all company safety procedures and jobsite requirements * Maintain professional conduct when working around customers, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades Required Qualifications * 1+ year of electrical or related construction experience preferred * Strong interest in developing a career in the electrical trade * Basic knowledge of electrical tools, materials, and installation methods * Ability to safely use common hand and power tools * Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team * Reliable transportation and valid driver's license * Ability to reliably report to jobsites throughout Southern California * Dependable attendance and punctuality * Strong work ethic and willingness to learn * Ability to perform the physical requirements of electrical construction, including lifting, climbing ladders, working from lifts, and working in various jobsite conditions California Electrical Trainee Requirements * Current California Electrical Trainee (ET) registration/card preferred * Candidates performing electrical work must maintain any registration or certification required under applicable California requirements * Candidates currently enrolled in or pursuing an approved electrical training program are encouraged to apply Preferred Qualifications Experience or exposure to any of the following is a plus: * Commercial electrical construction * Tenant improvement projects * EMT conduit installation and bending * Electrical plan reading * Lighting and lighting controls * Panel and branch circuit installations * High-end residential construction * Medical, hospitality, retail, or office TI projects What We Look For We are looking for apprentices who: * Show up on time and ready to work * Take pride in the quality of their work * Listen to and follow direction * Ask questions and are willing to learn * Work safely and professionally * Take care of company tools and equipment * Maintain a clean and organized work area * Want to develop into a skilled electrician and eventually take on greater responsibility What We Offer * Competitive pay based on experience and skill level * Full-time employment * Steady work across Southern California * Hands-on training alongside experienced electricians * Exposure to both commercial and high-end residential electrical systems * Opportunity to develop conduit bending, plan reading, troubleshooting, and installation skills * Advancement opportunities as experience and capabilities grow * Professional and organized work environment * Opportunity to build a long-term career with a growing electrical contractor How to Apply Submit your resume along with a brief description of your electrical or construction experience.
