Job Description: We are seeking an Outside Gate Attendant to play an important role in ensuring a seamless customer experience at our lumberyard. Your primary responsibilities would be welcoming customers, directing them to the location of their purchased materials within the yard, and verifying their order accuracy upon departure. Key Responsibilities: Customer Service: Greet customers as they arrive at the lumberyard entrance, offering a friendly and professional welcome to set a positive vibe for their visit. Give Directions: Provide customers with directions on where they can find the material they have purchased in our lumberyard. Order Verification: Thoroughly inspect the materials loaded onto customers' vehicles to make sure they match the items and quantities listed on their receipts. Communication: Collaborate closely with sales associates and other team members to address any discrepancies or issues with customers' orders promptly and efficiently. Traffic Management: Assist in managing the flow of traffic entering and exiting the lumberyard, ensuring safety and orderliness in alignment with company policies. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, including any issues, concerns, or special instructions, and relay this information to the appropriate internal departments. Customer Assistance: Provide general assistance to customers with inquiries or requests, directing them to the appropriate resources or personnel as needed. Site Maintenance: Contribute to the cleanliness and organization of the lumberyard entrance area, ensuring it reflects the professional and customer-focused image of the company. Qualifications: Highschool diploma or equivalent. Bilingual – Need to be able to communicate clearly in Spanish & English. Customer-centric attitude with a passion for providing exceptional service. Attention to detail and ability to accurately match products with order receipts. Ability to work in outdoor conditions and stand for extended periods. Prior experience in customer service, retail, or a similar role is a plus.
