Heavy Equipment Operator

Location: East Sioux Falls, South Dakota Company: Summit Skilled Solutions Position Overview: Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for various projects in the East Sioux Falls area. Ideal candidates should be skilled in both rough and fine grading, with proficiency in manual and GPS controls. Heavy Equipment Operators Key Responsibilities: Read, set, and understand elevations and grades. Possess knowledge of earthwork, compaction, and pipe laying. Execute proper start-up and shut-down procedures. Collaborate with team members and take direction effectively. Safely install project materials. Train others as needed. Maneuver heavy machinery in tight spaces and around existing utilities. Operate compactors, rollers, loaders, skid steers, excavators, dozers, blades, and haul trucks safely and efficiently. Heavy Equipment Operators Qualifications: General knowledge of earthwork construction; a minimum of two years of experience preferred. Certification is a plus but not mandatory. Dozer operators must be capable of grading both rough and fine soil. Proficiency with manual controls is essential. Heavy Equipment Operators Compensation and Benefits: Hourly Rate: $25-$30/hr based on experience. Weekly direct deposit. PTO and paid holidays. Single coverage health insurance after 60 days. 401K plan after one year. Two weeks PTO after one year. Potential for bonuses based on profitability and tenure.
