Cloud Security EngineerLocation: 5 days onsite in Reston, VA, Anacostia or College Park, MDEmployment Type: Full Time Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a counter-intelligence polygraphJob SummaryThe security engineer evaluates and supports documentation, assesses compliance, advises on strategic objectives, evaluates security architecture, and implements cloud security tools and processes to meet security requirements. Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and support documentation, validation, assessment, and accreditation processes for IT systemsAssist in defining desired state and risk thresholds, analyze actual state information for complianceAdvise on codifying strategic objectives into doctrine and proceduresEvaluate computer applications and software assurance practicesImplement cloud security architectures, tools, and processes Required Qualifications5+ years of experience building and administering cloud environments, utilizing cloud-native functionality, and COTs, GOTS, and open-source toolsExperience with developing and evaluating security documentation, including system security plans and contingency plansExperience with security architecture evaluations, guidance development, and troubleshootingExperience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF)Experience working in an Agile development environmentKnowledge of Infrastructure code concepts such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or BicepAssociate’s degree and 5+ years of supporting IT projects and activities, Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years, or Master’s degree and 1+ yearsAbility to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT Level III Certification within 30 days of start dateAbility to obtain a DoD 8570 Cybersecurity Service Provider - Infrastructure Support Certification within 30 days of start date Preferred QualificationsExperience with the software development life cycle (SDLC)Experience with cloud technologiesPossession of excellent team leadership, development, and client relationship skillsPossession of excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
