Asset Reporting Analyst   Location: National Capital Region Job Type: Full Time Level: Staff to Manager Clearance: Secret   Internal: FIART5   Montcure, LLC is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) founded with a vision to revolutionize consulting and advisory services through innovative, data-driven solutions.  The Montcure team recognize the unique challenges faced by organizations and governments in today’s rapidly evolving business environment.   Job Summary: The Asset Reporting Analyst supports the Department of Defense Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) program by performing asset-related reporting, reconciliation, and audit readiness activities. This role focuses on ensuring the completeness, accuracy, valuation, and existence of assets reported in the financial statements, including real property, general equipment, inventory, and other capital assets. The analyst works closely with asset owners, system stakeholders, and auditors to support audit sustainment and remediation of asset-related findings.   Key Responsibilities:    Asset Reporting & Reconciliation: Support reporting and reconciliation of assets recorded in financial statements, including real property, general equipment, inventory, and other capital assets. Perform reconciliations between asset systems, sub-ledgers, and the general ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness. Assist in validating asset balances and supporting schedules used for financial reporting.   Audit Readiness & Support: Support audit testing related to asset existence, completeness, valuation, rights, and obligations. Coordinate with asset owners to collect and validate supporting documentation for audit requests. Respond to auditor inquiries and support walkthroughs related to asset processes and balances.   Asset Lifecycle Support: Assist with asset capitalization, depreciation, amortization, and impairment analyses. Support tracking and reporting of asset additions, disposals, transfers, and adjustments. Validate asset data consistency across source systems and reporting outputs.   Deficiency & Remediation Support: Assist in tracking asset-related Notices of Findings and Recommendations (NFRs), deficiencies, and corrective action plans (CAPs). Support remediation efforts to address asset-related audit findings and improve internal controls. Assist in validating remediation actions and supporting sustainment activities.   Documentation & Reporting: Maintain asset-related workpapers, reconciliations, and audit support documentation. Support preparation of asset-related briefings, schedules, and metrics for Government leadership. Ensure documentation complies with FIAR guidance and Government quality standards.   Qualifications:    Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.   Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience supporting asset accounting, asset reporting, audit readiness, or DoD financial management programs. Experience with federal or DoD asset reporting and audit support is preferred.   Skills: Working knowledge of federal financial statements and reporting requirements. Familiarity with OMB Circular A-136, USSGL, and federal accounting standards. Experience supporting DoD Components, Defense Agencies, or federal financial statement audits. Familiarity with Defense Departmental Reporting System (DDRS) or other DoD financial systems. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight reporting deadlines Strong analytical and reconciliation skills. Ability to clearly communicate complex financial information to technical and non-technical audiences.   Anticipation: Montcure is currently bidding on the task order and has an anticipated award date in February.
